In honor of Valentine's Day this year, in collaboration with the successful podcast "Movie Eaters", a special screening event of Mike Nichols' canonical film, "The Graduate" (1967) will be held. Before the film, a cocktail party in the spirit of the 1960s will be held in the Cinematheque plaza, featuring a special dress code and prizes. After the film, a live podcast episode will be recorded with the audience.
The Graduate | Mike Nichols "Mrs. Robinson, are you trying to seduce me?", is one of the all time classic film quotes, and just one of the great moments remembered from this film, which for many symbolized both the flower child revolution of the late sixties, and the decline of conservative Hollywood. The young Dustin Hoffman returns home after his academic studies to the predetermined path set by his parents to which he rebels, finding himself torn between his fiancee and her frustrated mother.
