A tribute to the young and vibrant art and culture scene of New York in the ‘60s. The film consists of situations filmed and edited in a spontaneous, intuitive manner that demonstrates freedom and liberation. Sonbert introduces his friends and colleagues in such places as galleries, Andy Warhol's factory, Bleecker Street cinema, a rock concert, shopping, dancing and at parties. From these images, the arrival of a lost way of life emerges, steeped in a new kind of nostalgia accompanied musically by the best hits of the period.
