From the Big Idea to the Small Screen: A Conversation with Broadcast Drama Directors
From the Big Idea to the Small Screen: A Conversation with Broadcast Drama Directors
Tel-Aviv International Student Film Festival and the Screenwriter's Guild present:
Moments after graduating from their film and television studies, many graduates turn their attention to Israeli and global TV networks, but they're left with many unanswered questions. How can you reach out to the drama directors on the TV channels and offer them your content and innovative ideas? What does a proper bible submission for a series look like? What makes executives prefer one offer over another? What makes an Israeli work an international success? And how has the entry of streaming giants into the world of television influenced the decisions made in the local television industry?
In recent years, TV and digital platforms have become content entities that provide cinematic work for the audience at every scale, and many young filmmakers are looking for their way towards these content producers, in Israel and abroad. The event, which takes place in collaboration with the Screenwriters' Association, will host Heads of Drama content of the major broadcasters and networks in Israel: Ronny Perry ("Kan11"), Karni Ziv ("Keshet"), Mirit Tobi ("HOT") and Dganit Atias ("Yes").
The executive female producers of Israel’s TV world will try to answer all the difficult questions, to help young creators submit professional, correct and innovative proposals for television series.
Moderator: Bar Cohen
The event will be held in Hebrew.
